The story
behind TryHost
It started with a side project that deserved better. As a teenager learning to code, the founder kept running into the same wall — every project was hidden behind a forgettable IP address or a cluttered GitHub Pages URL.
Buying a real domain wasn't an option on a student budget. Free subdomain services existed, but none of them cared about whether search engines could actually find you. They'd give you a URL and call it done.
So TryHost was built to be different. Not just a DNS pointer — a service that actually gives your project a fighting chance of being discovered. The platform stays free because the founder remembers what it's like to want to build something and hit a paywall.
Today TryHost serves hundreds of developers across India and beyond, from first-time coders to senior engineers shipping weekend projects.
