Welcome to TryHost. By using our free subdomain registration service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Service Agreement

TryHost provides free subdomains under our managed domains (currently .guidly.in and .tictaktoe.fun) for personal, educational, and portfolio use. We provide DNS pointing only — we do not provide web hosting, storage, or server infrastructure.

All projects must be hosted on GitHub Pages using a valid, publicly accessible GitHub repository. By registering, you confirm that you are the owner or authorised contributor of the linked repository.

Acceptable Use

TryHost subdomains are intended for:

  • Personal portfolios and developer showcases
  • Open source project documentation and landing pages
  • Student and educational projects
  • Side projects and weekend builds
  • Non-commercial open source applications

Commercial use that generates direct revenue is not permitted on the free tier. If your project grows into a business, please contact us to discuss options.

Prohibited Content

Violations result in immediate, permanent revocation of your subdomain without notice.

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Phishing, malware distribution, or any other illegal activity
  • Spam, unsolicited advertising, or content designed to deceive
  • Adult, explicit, or sexually suggestive content of any kind
  • Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence
  • Copyright or trademark infringement
  • Impersonation of other individuals, companies, or services
  • Mining cryptocurrency or running server-side computations
  • Scraping, crawling, or automated abuse of other services

Registration Rules

  • One subdomain per GitHub repository
  • Subdomain names must be original — you cannot register names that impersonate brands, trademarks, or other TryHost users
  • Your linked GitHub repository must be public and must have GitHub Pages enabled and functioning
  • Providing false information during registration will result in immediate revocation
  • Subdomains cannot be transferred, sold, or gifted to another person

Service Availability & Termination

TryHost is provided "as is" without warranties of uptime, performance, or availability. As a free service operated by a small team, we cannot guarantee 100% uptime.

TryHost reserves the right to:

  • Deny any registration request at our discretion
  • Suspend or revoke any subdomain at any time, for any reason, with or without notice
  • Modify, restrict, or discontinue the service at any time

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before revoking a domain except in cases of serious abuse or policy violations, where immediate action may be necessary.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TryHost, its founder, contributors, and operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Use or inability to use the service
  • Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities
  • Unauthorised access to your domain or data
  • Any changes, suspension, or discontinuation of the service

You use TryHost entirely at your own risk. Do not use this service for mission-critical or revenue-dependent projects without a backup plan.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service as the platform evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your registration. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.

Continued use of TryHost after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with any changes, you may request deletion of your domain by contacting support@vikramai.top.
